Shang Palace: a Michelin-starred experience at the heart of Chinese gastronomy in Paris

When you open the doors of Shang Palace, you begin a culinary journey to the heart of China.
Nestling in the elegant Shangri La hotel in Paris, this Michelin-starred restaurant invites you to discover the richness of Cantonese cuisine, in gastro style!

Exceptional cuisine, combining tradition and refinement

Right from the start, we are greeted by an attentive team who guide us through the menu. This help is more than welcome, as there is not one menu, but 4 to choose from. Between the classic menu, the dim sum menu and the two tasting menus, we're spoilt for choice.  Dim sum, the real jewels of Cantonese gastronomy, are prepared with remarkable precision. Their delicate pastry contains fillings that are as original as they are tasty. On the palate, it's an explosion of beetroot and chives, lobster or wagyu beef... One of the Shang Palace's signature dishes is Cantonese-style roast duck, with its crispy skin and tender flesh. The braised chicken with ginger and black bean sauce offers a perfect harmony of spices and sweetness. Thinly sliced beef poached with Sichuan chilli will appeal to fans of spicy dishes, while foie gras with sweet and sour sauce builds a flavourful bridge between French and Chinese cuisine.

An accessible gastronomic experience

The Shang Palace offers a menu that is both rich and balanced, allowing everyone to compose their meal according to their preferences (and the size of their stomach). The discovery and emerald menus offer a selection of emblematic dishes and perfectly showcase the diversity of Chinese cuisine. Prices vary accordingly, but reflect the quality of the produce and the expertise of the chefs. In short, it's a far cry from a classic formula, but for a Michelin-starred restaurant, the prices are still reasonable.  The discovery menufor example, offers a starter, main course and dessert for €88, offering excellent value for money for a high-flying gastronomic experience. For dim sum lovers, a dedicated menu is available at lunchtime (under €40), ideal for enjoying these delicate morsels without breaking the bank.

A sumptuous setting for total immersion

The setting of the Shang Palace lives up to its reputation. The room, adorned with ashlar columns, sculpted screens and crystal chandeliers, transports us to a fantasy Hong Kong. Every detail, from the furniture to the works of art, helps to create a unique atmosphere. a warm, chic atmosphere In terms of service, we appreciate the attention paid to customers, who play a full part in the dining experience. The waiters, always ready to share their knowledge of recipes and culinary traditions, manage to make us feel right at home in a Michelin-starred restaurant!
